Here are four ways to make plastics more sustainable:

Renewable raw material

Natural substances such as glycogen and other organic fibers can substitute the feedstock petroleum-based, which considerably reduces the dependence on fossil fuels to carbon dioxide emissions. 

Raw material regenerated

Industrial by-products of biological origin have proven effective for plastic fillers based on oil. The wood fibers recovered from the milling and of agricultural by-products from farms can also be used to reduce the dependence on non-renewable materials.
